“…to him who KNOWS to do good and DOES NOT DO IT, to him IT IS SIN.” (James 4:17) “The one who does what is sinful IS OF THE DEVIL, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work.” (1 John 3:8)
How do we know what is right and what is wrong? “The wrath of God is being REVEALED FROM HEAVEN against all the godlessness and wickedness of people, who suppress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God IS PLAIN TO THEM, because GOD HAS MADE IT PLAIN TO THEM. For since the creation of the world God’s invisible qualities—His eternal power and divine nature—have BEEN CLEARLY SEEN, being understood from what has been made, so that people ARE WITHOUT EXCUSE.” (Romans 1:18-20)
God “…will repay each person according to what they have done.” To those who by persistence in doing good seek glory, honor and immortality, HE WILL GIVE ETERNAL LIFE. But He will pour out His ANGER and WRATH on those who live for themselves, who REFUSE TO OBEY the truth and instead LIVE LIVES OF WICKEDNESS.” (Romans 2:6-8)
“But there will be GLORY and HONOR and PEACE from God for ALL WHO DO GOOD—for the Jew first and also for the Gentile. For GOD DOES NOT SHOW FAVORITISM.” (Romans 2:10-11) “The one who is not circumcised physically (a Gentile) and yet obeys the law will condemn you who, even though you have the written code and circumcision (a Jew), are a lawbreaker. A person is not a Jew who is one only OUTWARDLY, nor is circumcision merely outward and physical. No, a person is a Jew who is one INWARDLY; and circumcision is circumcision of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the written code. Such a person’s praise is not from other people, BUT FROM GOD.” (Romans 2:27-29)
