“O God, you take NO PLEASURE IN WICKEDNESS; you CANNOT TOLERATE THE SINS OF THE WICKED. Therefore, the proud may not stand in your presence, for YOU HATE ALL WHO DO EVIL. You will DESTROY THOSE WHO TELL LIES. The LORD DETESTS MURDERERS AND DECEIVERS.” (Psalms 5:4-6)
The Bible teaches that God experiences DEEP GRIEF AND PAIN when humans sin. In Revelation, Babylon represents the world system that has profited from HUMAN EXPLOITATION “They will cry out, “How terrible, how terrible for you, O BABYLON, you great city! In a single moment God’s judgment came on you…The merchants who became wealthy by selling her these things will stand at a distance, TERRIFIED BY HER GREAT TORMENT. They will WEEP AND CRY OUT, and they will say, “Where is there another city as great as this?” (Revelation 18:10-18)
Babylon is co-represented with LADY WICKEDNESS, who is said to have corrupted the entire earth with wickedness: “and on her forehead a name was written, a mystery, “BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND OF THE ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” (Revelation 17:5) “Then a mighty angel picked up a boulder the size of a huge millstone. He threw it into the ocean and shouted, “Just like this, THE GREAT CITY BABYLON WILL BE THROWN DOWN WITH VIOLENCE and will never be found again.” (Revelation 18:21)
“Because of your unfailing love (O God), I can enter your house; I will worship at your Temple with deepest awe. Lead me in the RIGHT PATH, O LORD, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way PLAIN FOR ME TO FOLLOW.” (Psalms 5:4-8) “Come now, let’s settle this,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as WHITE AS SNOW. Though they are red like crimson, I will make them as WHITE AS WOOL.” (Isaiah 1:18)
