“…since Jesus HIMSELF HAS NOW BEEN THROUGH SUFFERING AND TEMPTATION, HE KNOWS WHAT IT IS LIKE when we suffer and are tempted, and He is wonderfully able to help us.” (Hebrews 2:18TLB)
This sounds comforting but it diminishes the “Omni’s” of God…God does not have experience something to know what it’s like because GOD IS:
- OMNIPOTENCE: refers to God’s ULTIMATE INFINITE POWER over all things and that He is the source of all power.
- OMNIPRESENCE: refers to God’s presence EVERYWHERE AT ALL TIMES. He is not limited by time or space and is present in every aspect of our lives.
- OMNISCIENCE: refers to God’s INFINITE KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING of all things. He knows everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen in the future.
The word “Omni” means, ALL, OF ALL THINGS, IN ALL WAYS, IN ALL PLACES.
“For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, HE IS ABLE to AID THOSE who are tempted.” (Hebrews 2:18NKJV)
Omnipotence: “With men this is impossible, but with God ALL THINGS are possible.” (Matthew 19:26) ‘Ah, Lord GOD! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by Your great power and outstretched arm. There is NOTHING too hard for You.” (Jeremiah 32:17)
Omnipresence: “He is before all things, and in Him all things HOLD TOGETHER“ (Colossians 1:17) “For IN HIM we live and move and have our being.” (Acts 17:28) “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the FIRST and the LAST, the BEGINNING and the END.” (Revelation 21:13)
Omniscience: “Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and HIS UNDERSTANDING NO ONE CAN FATHOM” (Isaiah 40:28) “Nothing in all creation is hidden from God’s sight. Everything is UNCOVERED AND LAID BARE before the eyes of Him to whom we must give account.” (Hebrews 4:13)
OUR LORD HAS BEEN THROUGH IT ALL FOR US SO HE CAN HELP US THROUGH ANY TRIAL WE FACE…
