“A deaf man with a speech impediment was brought to Jesus, and everyone begged Him to lay his hands on the man and heal him. Jesus led him away from the crowd and put his fingers into the man’s ears, THEN SPIT AND TOUCHED THE MAN’S TONGUE WITH THE SPITTLE. Then, looking up to heaven, He sighed and commanded, “OPEN!” INSTANTLY THE MAN COULD HEAR PERFECTLY AND SPEAK PLAINLY!” (Mark 7:32-35)
There were three times when Jesus healed with his saliva. (Mark 7:31-33, Mark 8:22-23, John 9:11). Why did Jesus use such an odd procedure? To answer that let’s look at what the Bible says about Jesus. “Christ is the exact likeness of God, who can’t be seen. He is first, and Christ is over all of creation. ALL THINGS WERE CREATED BY HIM. HE CREATED EVERYTHING IN HEAVEN AND ON EARTH. He created everything that can be seen and everything that can’t be seen. He created kings, powers, rulers and authorities. EVERYTHING WAS CREATED BY HIM AND FOR HIM. Before anything was created, HE WAS ALREADY THERE. He holds everything together. And He is the head of the body, which is the church. HE IS THE BEGINNING. He is the first to be raised from the dead. That happened so that He would be FAR ABOVE EVERYTHING.” (Colossians 1:15-18)
So, we see that the creator of all things came to earth to redeem mankind, “God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son. Anyone who believes in Him will not die but will have eternal life. “God did not send His Son into the world to judge the world. He sent his Son TO SAVE THE WORLD THROUGH HIM.” (John 3:16-17) About the Godhead, the KJV says, “…there are THREE that bear record in heaven, the FATHER, the WORD, and the HOLY GHOST: and THESE THREE ARE ONE.” (1 John 5:7) This verse was in the Textus Receptus (the original writings of the bible) but the Catholic Leaders thought this would cause confusion, so they left it out as seen in the Wescott-Hort who were (Roman Catholics) revised version.
Back to the “spit” point. Jesus’ “DNA” was in that spittle. So, just as He “formed a man from the dust of the ground…” (Genesis 2:7) Jesus spat on the ground and formed a new tongue, ears, and eyes.
SOMETHING THAT MAY SEEM “GROSS” TO US WAS COMPLETELY NORMAL FOR JESUS…
