God commands us to care for the weak Amanda. It is one of His continuing directives throughout Scripture. The all-powerful Creator of the universe sees EVERY NEED and watches over every single vulnerable person on earth. One of the powerful ways that God shows care for the disadvantages is by making it a priority for His people to help them. “If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and are unable to support themselves among you, help them as you would a foreigner and stranger, so they can continue to live among you.” (Lev. 25:35)
When Christ was born it was in the lowliest of situations to illustrate, “If you EXTEND your soul to the hungry And SATISFY the afflicted soul, Then your light shall dawn in the darkness, And your darkness shall be as the noonday. The LORD WILL GUIDE YOU CONTINUALLY, And satisfy your soul in drought, And strengthen your bones; YOU SHALL BE LIKE A WATERED GARDEN, And like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.” (Isa. 58:10-11)
When Jesus was ministering to the woman at the well He said he would give her living water Amanda, she said, “Are You greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well, and drank from it himself, as well as his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered and said to her, “Whoever drinks of this water will thirst again, but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him WILL NEVER THIRST. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water SPRINGING UP INTO EVERLASTING LIFE.” (John 4:12-14)
