“Jesus spoke, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. GO therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, TEACHING them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I AM WITH YOU ALWAYS, even to the end of the age.” Amen. (Matt. 28:18-20) This great commission is basically being ignored, why?
We live in a world of instant gratification. Hot coffee at a push of a button, fast food on every corner, our favorite shows stream, and we can connect with friends the moment we think of them through social media. Waiting is so rare that when we are inconvenienced, we spend more time complaining about the inconvenience than the time it actually took from us. Life is great, as long as the systems work, and we are comfortable. But what happens when we are reminded about this GREAT COMMISSION the Lord challenged us with?
What happens to us when we feel the Holy Spirit urging us to go and share the gospel? To do something we may have never done? Jesus said, “I am with you ALWAYS, even to the end of the age.” And for more assurance from the Lord, He says, “Fear not, for I AM WITH YOU; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will UPHOLD YOU with My righteous right hand.” (Isa. 41:10)
Remember, Don’t waste time telling God how big the storm in front of you is; instead, tell the storm in front of you HOW BIG YOUR GOD IS. He is Omnipotent, there is none other like Him, trust Him, believe Him and have faith that He will do all that He says, for HE CERTAINLY WILL.
