Why should we trust God? “As for God, HIS WAY IS PERFECT: The LORD’s WORD IS FLAWLESS (tsâraph: to be pure and refined) He shields all who take refuge in Him. For who is God besides the LORD? And who is the Rock (tsûr: a refuge, a mighty stone) EXCEPT OUR GOD? It is God who ARMS me with strength and KEEPS my way secure.” (Psalms 18:30-32) When we learn the secret of fully trusting God AMAZING THINGS will happen in our lives…for example, In the Bible, there are people who NEVER TASTED DEATH. These include ENOCH, who was taken up by God before he died, and ELIJAH, who was carried off into heaven in a whirlwind. Both of these men were taken up to heaven without experiencing death.
“By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: “He could not be found, because God had TAKEN HIM AWAY.” For before he was taken, he was commended AS ONE WHO PLEASED GOD.” (Hebrews 11:5)
Then there is Elisha, he asked Elijah for a double portion of his spirit Elijah said, “You have asked a difficult thing, yet if you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours—otherwise, it will not.” As they were walking along and talking together, suddenly a chariot of fire and horses of fire appeared and separated the two of them, and ELIJAH WENT UP TO HEAVEN IN A WHIRLWIND. Elisha saw this and cried out, “My father! My father! The chariots and horsemen of Israel!” And Elisha saw him no more.” (2 Kings 2:10-12) Elisha went on and discovered he did indeed have a double portion of God’s spirit in his life.
The Bible says, “…it is appointed for men TO DIE ONCE, but after this the judgment…” (Hebrews 9:27) These two men never died and God said, “I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth…When they finish their testimony, the beast will make war against them, overcome them, and KILL THEM. And their dead bodies WILL LIE IN THE STREET of the great city where also our Lord was crucified…Now after the THREE–AND–A–HALF DAYS THE BREATH OF LIFE FROM GOD ENTERED THEM, and they stood on their feet…And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “COME UP HERE.” And they ascended to heaven in a cloud, and their enemies saw them.” (Revelation 11:3,7-8,11-12)
GOD ALWAYS TAKES CARE OF US…
