Let’s look at how THE BIBLE expresses the feelings of its writers for the word of God. “Your words were found, and I ate them; and YOUR WORDS WERE TO ME A JOY AND THE REJOICING OF MY HEART, for I am called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.“ (Jer. 15:16) Let’s see what our Abba Father says about His word: “For as the rain and snow come down from the heavens, and return not there again, but water the earth and make it bring forth and sprout, that it may give seed to the sower and bread to the eater, So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void, but IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH THAT WHICH I PLEASE AND PURPOSE, AND IT SHALL PROSPER IN THE THING FOR WHICH I SENT IT.“ (Isa. 55:10-11)
So, how long will this word ne around? “YOUR WORD, LORD, IS ETERNAL; it stands firm in the heavens.“ (Psa. 119:89) What will the word of God do for me? “Your word is a LAMP for my feet, a LIGHT on my path.“ (Psa. 119:105) How will the word of God affect me? “…[Your] word is in my heart LIKE A FIRE…SHUT UP IN MY BONES…” (Jer. 20:9) Tell me more… “… YOUR WORD IS TRUTH.” (John 17:17)
What if we are just a young person?. “How can a young person stay on the path of purity? BY LIVING ACCORDING TO YOUR WORD. I SEEK YOU WITH ALL MY HEART; DO NOT LET ME STRAY from your commands.” (Psa. 119:9-10) It is God’s word, alive and active in us, that gives us power to stay enlightened – BUT IT MUST BE READ DAILY! Because, we are tempted EVERYDAY by the enemy of our soul!
KNOWING THAT THE WORD OF GOD IS ALIVE AND FULL OF POWER…
