Paul wrote these words: “I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS according to the Scriptures, and that HE WAS BURIED, and that HE ROSE AGAIN the third day according to the Scriptures, and that He was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve. After that HE WAS SEEN BY OVER FIVE HUNDRED brethren at once…” (1 Corin. 15:3-6) Doubters may ask “how do we know this is true?” “ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD…” (2 Tim. 3:16-17) and, “…it is IMPOSSIBLE for God to lie…” (Heb. 6:18)
Just for the sake of conformation, two men who were so discouraged about the crucifiction, were met on their journey home, by Jesus. They did not recognize Him, He shared the scriptures about the CRUCIFICTION, DEATH, BURIAL and RESURRECTION then joined them at their home. Jesus broke bread with them and disappeared, “So they rose up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem, and found THE ELEVEN AND THOSE WHO WERE WITH THEM gathered together, saying, “The Lord is risen indeed”, and has appeared to Simon…Now as they said these things, JESUS HIMSELF STOOD IN THE MIDST OF THEM, and said to them, “Peace to you.” (Luke 24:33-36)
Why did Jesus have to be crucified? Peter tells us, “…knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct, but with the PRECIOUS BLOOD OF CHRIST, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot. He indeed was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times FOR YOU WHO THROUGH HIM BELIEVE IN GOD, who RAISED HIM from the dead and gave Him glory, so that…
YOUR FAITH AND HOPE ARE IN GOD…(1 Peter 1:18-21)
