“…do not be anxious, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the Gentiles seek after all THESE things, and YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER KNOWS that YOU NEED THEM all. But SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and His righteousness, and ALL these things will be ADDED TO YOU. “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow…” (Matt. 6:31-34)
DO NOT WORRY BECAUSE,
- OUR ABBA FATHER KNOWS ALL: God is omniscience which means “all-knowing.” Essentially, we are describing the fact that God KNOWS EVERYTHING! He has never discovered anything new because He has ALWAYS KNOWN EVERYTHING. Someone once said, “Has it occurred to you that nothing has ever occurred to God?” “O LORD, you have examined my heart and know EVERYTHING ABOUT ME. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.” (Psa. 139:1-2)
- I MUST SEEK GOD FIRST: Is it really so important to make God your TOP PRIORITY? Can’t God just be one part of our lives, along with career, finances, hobbies, etc.? NO, He can’t. (Deut. 6:4-5) says, “The Lord our God, the Lord is one! YOU SHALL (this is a love command) love the Lord your God with ALL your HEART, with all your SOUL, and with all your STRENGTH.” God knows ALL we will EVER NEED…
- WHAT I NEED WILL BE ADDED TO ME: “…my God WILL meet ALL YOUR NEEDS according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:19) “…the LORD God is a sun and shield; The LORD will give grace and glory; NO GOOD THING WILL HE WITHHOLD From those who walk uprightly.” (Psa. 84:11) “Ask, and it will be GIVEN to you; seek, and you will FIND; knock, and it will be OPENED to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” (Matt. 7:7-8)
