FAITH IS ESSENTIAL…

“Lord, have mercy on my son, He has seizures and is suffering greatly. He often falls into fire or water. I brought him to your disciples, but THEY COULD NOT HEAL HIM.” “You unbelieving and perverse generation, Jesus replied, “how long shall I stay with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring the boy here to me.” Jesus rebuked the demon, and the boy was healed at that moment. Then the disciples came and asked, “Why couldn’t we drive it out?” He replied, BECAUSE YOU HAVE SO LITTLE FAITH. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. NOTHING WILL BE IMPOSSIBLE FOR YOU.” (Matt. 17:15-20)

Peter was one of these being rebuked, but look, “…people brought the sick into the streets so that AT LEAST PETER’S SHADOW MIGHT FALL on some of them as he passed byand ALL OF THEM WERE HEALED. (Acts 5:15-16)

How did Peter go from very little faith to great faith? God’s divine power has given us EVERYTHING WE NEED for living a godly life…because of His glory and excellence, He has given us GREAT AND PRECIOUS PROMISES.” (2 Peter 1:3-4)

Peter then goes on to reveal these promises to us, “…make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, THEY WILL KEEP YOU FROM BEING INEFFECTIVE AND UNPRODUCTIVE IN YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST.(2 Peter 1:5-8)
