“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things WILL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.” (Gal. 5:19-21).
These are obvious works that everyone knows are sin WILL. If we do such things, others will not believe in our Christianity – our lamps WILL NO LONGER SHINE. All ten had crushed sufficient olives so that they were virgins. However, the five wise virgins didn’t only think about letting their lamps shine in the present moment; they also thought about their vessels in the future.
Even the five foolish virgins will deny THEIR LACK WILL, so that their lamps shine and people cannot judge them. But then they are satisfied. It doesn’t occur to them that the little amount of oil they gathered at that moment is already burned up.
“Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who EAGERLY WAIT FOR HIM He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.” (Heb. 9:28) Our eagerly awaiting will be realized because WILL, “our citizenship is in heaven, from which we also eagerly wait for the Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will TRANSFORM our lowly body that it may be CONFORMED TO HIS GLORIOUS BODY, according to the working by which He is able even to subdue all things to Himself.” (Phil. 3:20-21)
