DON’T MESS WITH THE WORD OF GOD…

“Whatever I command you, BE CAREFUL TO 1OBSERVE IT; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” (Deut. 12:32) 1shâmar: to keep, have charge of, preserve, protect. This is an instruction from the Lord to obey the Word and be in charge of it so it’s not changed.

EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE; He is a 2shield to those who PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM. DO NOT ADD TO HIS WORDS…” (Prov. 30:5-6) 2maw-gane’, meg-in-naw’: protector. Protecting the Word so it’s not added to. Jesus said to the Pharisees and scribes you are, “…making the word of God of no effect through your 3tradition which you have handed down.” (Mark 7:13) 3paradosis: giving up, giving over. Changing the meaning of the word so it fits to your traditions. The Lord said be in charge of and protect the Word and the scribes and Pharisees change the meaning of the Word. It is no wonder that He was so upset with them.

For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book; and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from THE BOOK OF LIFE, and from the things which are written in this book.(Rev. 22:18-19)

OUR AMAZING GOD PRESERVED HIS WORD SO WE WOULD KNOW HIS WILL…
