“Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled…Let no one deceive you by any means; for THAT DAY WILL NOT COME UNLESS THE FALLING AWAY COMES FIRST, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.” (2 Thess. 2:1-4) Many young people are falling away from the faith and walking away from the church as they grow older. A recent survey conducted by the BARNA GROUP, a leading research organization whose focus is on the relationship of faith and culture, found that less than 1 percent of the young adult population in the United States has a biblical worldview. The devil has done a wonder job in coming to, “…STEAL, and to KILL, and to DESTROY…” (John 10:10) So what do we do? “…we urge you in the name of the Lord Jesus to LIVE IN A WAY THAT PLEASES GOD, and we encourage you to do so even more.” (1 Thess. 4:1) There is a battle going on to steal our youth and us as well, we desperately need to believe God and be about His business. “For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But YOU, BRETHREN, ARE NOT IN DARKNESS, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.” (1 Thess. 5:2-4)
TIME TO GET ON OUR KNEES AND PRAY TO BE EMPOWERED…
