“You ask, ‘What is the LORD‘s answer?’ Or you ask, ‘What has the LORD spoken?’ But you must not talk about ‘a message from the LORD‘ again. THAT IS BECAUSE EACH ONE’S WORD BECOMES THEIR OWN MESSAGE. And SO YOU STEAL FROM ONE ANOTHER WORDS SUPPOSEDLY FROM ME. I am the LIVING GOD. I am the LORD who RULES OVER ALL. And I AM YOUR GOD.” (Jer. 23:35-36)
It was a common thing for The Lord to speak to His ministers and have them pass the word along to the people. But then the devil convinced them to deceiving and they began to add their own “message” and change what God was wanting to say to what they desired. So, the Lord spoke through Jeremiah, “…you must not mention ‘a message from the LORD‘ again, because each one’s word becomes THEIR OWN MESSAGE. So YOU DISTORT THE WORDS OF THE LIVING GOD, the LORD Almighty, our God.” (Jer. 23:36)
Does that mean that God will no longer speak to us? NO, God said, “My message is like fire,” announces the LORD. “IT IS LIKE A HAMMER THAT BREAKS A ROCK IN PIECES.” (Jer. 23:29) What God is saying is that His personal Word to us as individuals, is like a fire (to enlighten us) and a hammer (to shape us) so our steps will be properly ordered by God…
