“…the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. HE IS THE GREAT GOD, the MIGHTY and AWESOME GOD, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice.” (Deut. 10:17-18) There are so many scriptures acknowledging God’s greatness, I just chose a few, “You are great, O LORD GOD; for there is NONE LIKE YOU, and there is no God besides You, according to all that we have HEARD WITH OUR EARS.” (2 Sam. 7:22)
So, that just makes me want to say, “Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD MY GOD, YOU ARE VERY GREAT; You are clothed with splendor and majesty…” (Psa. 104:1) Now, Concerning Jesus Christ our Lord, “…we wait for the BLESSED HOPE—the appearing of the glory of our GREAT GOD AND SAVIOR, JESUS CHRIST, who gave Himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to PURIFY FOR HIMSELF a people that are HIS VERY OWN…” (Titus 2:13-14) Oh, what a wonderful news, “…unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, MIGHTY GOD, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isa. 9:6)
The devil is trying to corrupt our amazing ability to worship God, he wants, “to steal, and to kill, and to destroy…” (John 10:10a) our desire to worship the Lord God Almighty! When we think of worship, we commonly imagine a style of music or singing at church. WORSHIP IS FAR MORE THAN A SONG. “…dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to GIVE YOUR BODIES TO GOD, because of ALL HE HAS DONE FOR YOU (and ALL who He is to you). Let our bodies be a LIVING and HOLY sacrifice—the kind He will find acceptable. THIS IS TRULY THE WAY TO WORSHIP HIM.” (Rom. 12:1)
