“Through the LORD’s mercies WE ARE NOT CONSUMED, Because His compassions fail not. THEY ARE NEW EVERY MORNING; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS.” (Lam. 3:22-25) WHY WOULD WE BE CONSUMED? Because, “There is NO ONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE…ALL have…together BECOME WORTHLESS; there is NO ONE WHO DOES GOOD, NOT EVEN ONE…There is no fear of God before their eyes.” (Rom. 3:10,12,18)
Not only that but, “…ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALL SHORT of THE GLORY OF GOD…” (Rom. 3:23) The question is,“why did God spare us???” “You, Lord, are FORGIVING AND GOOD, abounding (rich) in love to all who call to you.” (Psa. 86:5) “For God SO LOVED THE WORLD THAT HE GAVE HIS ONE AND ONLY SON, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.” (John 3:16-17) This expression, “the world,” means that God loves ALL MEN, every individual member of the human race. “How much did God love? So much that He gave His only begotten Son. So much that He emptied Himself; He gave Himself. The amount of the love is indicated by the amount of the gift. That means God’s love for us is an infinite love.
AS THE FATHER HAS LOVED ME, SO HAVE I LOVED YOU. NOW REMAIN IN MY LOVE…(John 15:9)
