“LORD, who may DWELL (gûr: gather together) in your sacred tent? Who may LIVE on your holy mountain? The one whose WALK is blameless, who DOES what is righteous, who SPEAKS the truth from their heart; whose tongue UTTERS no slander, who DOES no wrong to a neighbor, and CASTS no slur on others; who DESPISES a vile person but HONORS those who fear the LORD; who KEEPS an oath even when it hurts, and DOES NOT CHANGE their mind; Whoever does these things will NEVER BE SHAKEN.” (Psa. 15:1-5) How do we gather in His sacred tent? Just as soon as this devil created disruption (virus) is under control. President Xi Jinping of China met Mr. Ghebreyesus, the director-general of the World Health Organization (WHO), to discuss the current coronavirus outbreak. “The epidemic IS A DEVIL,” Xi said. “We cannot let THE DEVIL HIDE.”
Our fundamental calling as Christians remains to RESPOND WITH LOVE to God and to our neighbors as ourselves. Historically we’ve loved best amid life AT ITS WORST. Such is the way of the Cross and its glory.
“…in Me you may HAVE PEACE. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have OVERCOME THE WORLD.” (John 16:33)
Remember, God is infinitely powerful, infinite in knowledge and wisdom, and is everywhere at all times. We also learn that God is three in one—God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
