For behold, your enemies make a TUMULT (hamah: making such an uproar); And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken CRAFTY (arom: to be deceitful, shrewd) COUNSEL AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us CUT THEM OFF FROM BEING A NATION, That THE NAME OF ISRAEL may BE REMEMBERED NO MORE.” (Psalms 83:1-4)
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared his country is “at war” with Hamas almost immediately after the militant group launched a brutal terror attack from the Gaza Strip on October 7, killing hundreds and prompting more than two weeks of retaliatory airstrikes on the Palestinian territory. The shocking escalation left many people wondering why Hamas attacked, and WHY NOW. Hamas gunmen were given instructions to kill everyone they saw, including beheading victims and cutting off their legs. “The plan was to go from home to home, from room to room, to throw grenades and kill everyone, including RAPING WOMEN AND BEHEADING BABIES AND CHILDREN,” he said. “Hamas ordered us to crush their heads and cut them off, and to cut their legs.” THEY KILLED MORE THAN 1,500 PEOPLE AND TOOK HUNDREDS CAPTIVE.
Since its creation in December 1987, Hamas has invoked militant understanding of Islam to spearhead a Sunni extremist movement COMMITTED TO DESTROYING EVERY PERSON OF ISRAEL. They are not interested is peace, they say, “there will be no peace until EVERY JEW is dead.”
Hamas has a network of tunnels; The tunnel network exists in a country that’s 140 square miles in size with a population of about 2 million people. The network, consisting of about 1,300 tunnels, many of the tunnels are as deep as 100 feet below the surface. Some were found to be about 230 feet deep. Hamas has used the tunnels, estimated between 150 to 300 miles in length, for decades in its war against Israel.
As long as Hamas exists it will continue TO KILL JEWS, Israel knows that they have experienced it for years so they are determined to eliminate them.
Let’s pray for Israel, God has a plan for “His People.” “Let them (Hamas) be confounded and dismayed forever; Yes, let them be put to shame and perish, that they may know that You, whose name alone is the LORD, Are the Most High over all the earth.” (Psalms 83:17-18)
