“…you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing, and following their own evil desires. They will say, “WHERE IS THIS ‘COMING‘ HE PROMISED? Ever since our ancestors died, EVERYTHING GOES ON AS IT HAS since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago BY GOD’S WORD the heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water. By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed.” (2 Peter 3:3-6)
“As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age? Jesus answered: “WATCH OUT THAT NO ONE DECEIVES YOU. For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and WILL DECEIVE MANY…At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and MANY FALSE PROPHETS WILL APPEAR and deceive many people.” (Matthew 24:3-5, 10-11)
Just a few examples, there are MANY, MANY MORE, Jim Jones, a false preacher, who convinced more than 600 people to drink poisoned cool aid in the Jones town Massacre. Marcus Borg was among the most WIDELY KNOWN AND INFLUENTIAL VOICES in progressive Christianity who said, “I LET GO OF THE NOTION THAT THE BIBLE IS A DIVINE PRODUCT, and that Jesus was almost certainly NOT BORN OF A VIRGIN. Sun Myung Moon founder of the Moonies He married thousands of people in mass weddings, made millions of dollars from his church’s business interests and was accused of BRAINWASHING HIS MEMBERS AND BREAKING UP FAMILIES. Moon saw himself as a messiah and created a church that became a worldwide movement and claims to have around 3 MILLION MEMBERS, including 100,000 in the United States. Moon believed that God chose him to save mankind from Satanism, and he regarded communists as Satan’s representatives in the world. MOON CLAIMED TO BE THE MESSIAH AND THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.
“…many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase of wickedness, THE LOVE OF MOST WILL GROW COLD, but THE ONE WHO STANDS FIRM to the end will be saved.” (Matthew 24:11-13) Listen to Jesus “THE LOVE OF MOST WILL GROW COLD…” We must watch and pray!
