“ALWAYS BE HUMBLE AND GENTLE. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love.” (Eph. 4:2-4)
Just why is it so important for us to be humble BENITA? “These six things the LORD HATES, Yes, seven are an abomination to Him: A PROUD LOOK, A lying tongue, Hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, Feet that are swift in running to evil, A false witness who speaks lies, And one who sows discord among brethren.” (Pro. 6:16-19) Pride, lying, murder, wickedness, evil, saying and doing things which cause distrust. Why does Gods hate pride? Because His created worship and praise leader was CONSUMED WITH PRIDE!!! “YOUR PRIDE is brought down to hell…How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer (Satan)…You who weakened the nations! For you have said: ‘I WILL ascend into heaven, I WILL exalt my throne above the stars of God; I WILL also sit on the mount of the congregation; I WILL ascend above the heights of the clouds, I WILL be like the Most High.’” (Isa. 14:12-14)
“…you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because, “God OPPOSES the proud but shows favor to the humble.” Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that He may lift you up in due time.” (1 Peter 5:5-6) The word OPPOSES is (antitassomai: to range in battle against). God hates pride because it is a DECLARATION OF WAR against Him! We definitely DO NOT want to go to war against God…
