“A wise son heeds his father’s instruction…” (Prov. 13:1) [What great hope do those children have who have respect, and admiration for their parents, and are willing to be advised and reprimanded by them. It is a wise son, and soon to be wiser, who hears his father’s instruction, desires to hear it, regards it, and observes it, and does not merely just listen!] “There are those who curse their fathers and do not bless their mothers…” (Prov. 30:11) [A generation of troublemakers are those who curse their natural parents, because they cannot endure the correction from them!] “Yet you ask, ‘Why does the son not share the guilt of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right and has been careful to keep all my decrees, he will surely live. THE ONE WHO SINS IS THE ONE WHO WILL DIE. The child will not share the guilt of the parent, nor will the parent share the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous will be credited to them, and the wickedness of the wicked will be charged against them.” (Ezek. 18:19-20) [Ok, what if I have a very ungodly Father? Does that give me the right to dishonor him? NO, our Abba Father knows all about what goes on in our home, but WE MUST CRY OUT TO HIM, we must diligently seek the Lord to save our ungodly parents and to protect us from the ungodliness! It is never alright to disobey God, as hard as it may be we must pray for God to send his angles to surround us and protect us, and to redeem our parents.] “For a son dishonors his father, a daughter rises up against her mother…a man’s enemies are the members of his own household. But as for me, I WATCH IN HOPE FOR THE LORD, I WAIT FOR GOD MY SAVIOR; MY GOD WILL HEAR ME.” (Micah 7:6-7) [It is sad when a man’s worst enemies are those of his own house, his own children that should be his protector and his best friends. Of course when the father in the home is the enemy, what do we do? Look what Micah said: “I watch in hope for the Lord…my God WILL hear me!!!] “…If you want to enter life, keep the commandments. Which ones? …Jesus replied…HONOR YOUR FATHER AND MOTHER…” (Matt. 19:17-19) [Jesus taught us to do just what He does, to please His Father!] “…Jesus said, “…I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me…FOR I ALWAYS DO WHAT PLEASES HIM.” (Joh. 8:28-29) [Lord, teach us to cry out Abba Father!] “Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba (daddy), Father.” (Gal. 4:6)
Be blessed as you praise The Lord, knowing that:
WE CAN ALWAYS DO WHAT PLEASES OUR ABBA FATHER!
