“…Then Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armor, “Come, let us go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised; it may be that the LORD will work for us. For NOTHING RESTRAINS THE LORD FROM SAVING BY MANY OR BY FEW.” (1 Sam. 14:6) The Lord uses little things to accomplish big things. He used Abraham to build the great nation of Israel. He used Moses and Aaron to deliver Israel out of the hand of Pharaoh and Egypt. He used Gideon and his small army of 300 men, with no weapons, to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Midianites. He used Jonathan and his armor bearer in this text to deliver Israel out of the hand of the Philistines. He used the 12 apostles to deliver several thousands of souls out of the hand of Satan on the day of Pentecost and in the days following.
We must learn to trust the Lord and work together in the unity of the spirit and in cooperation as Johnathan and his amour bearer did, because “God has chosen the foolish things of the world TO PUT TO SHAME THE WISE…” (1 Corin. 1:27) When you stop to analyze the way God works, He often does things in such a manner that He impresses upon us that IT WAS TOTALLY GOD WHO GAVE VICTORY, and He doesn’t want to share it with anybody.
WILLINGNESS TO OBEY GOD PRODUCES AMAZING RESULTS…
