“I will say to the north, ‘Give her up!’ And to the south, ‘Do not keep her back!’ Bring My daughter AMY from afar, And from the ends of the earth…Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness…” (Isaiah 43:6, 18-19) AMY’s real problem is not drugs or sex or cigarettes or pornography or laziness. The real problem is that she doesn’t see Jesus clearly. The best thing to do for her—and the only reason to do any of the following suggestions—is to show her Christ. It is not a simple or immediate process, but the sins in her life that distress you and destroy them will only begin to fade away when they see Jesus more as He really is.
As a mother, you will want to pray that the Lord would give AMY the Spirit of wisdom and revelation of Christ, that the eyes of her hearts would be opened so that she will know and cherish the hope to which Jesus has called her; the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God’s people); and what is the immeasurable greatness of His power in her life, in accordance with the working of His mighty strength. (Ephesians 1:17-19)
“He has shown you, AMY, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” (Micah 6:8)
