“…the natural man does NOT RECEIVE the things of the Spirit of God, for they are FOOLISHNESS to him; nor can HE KNOW THEM, because they are SPIRITUALLY DISCERNED. (anakrinō: to pick out, or distinguish something).” (1 Corin. 2:14) Paul told Timothy, “…from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. (Why, because) All Scripture is GOD–BREATHED (theopneustos: breathed out by God) and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be THOROUGHLY EQUIPPED (equipped within and without) for every good work.” (2 Tim. 3:15-17)
All that we know about God is REVEALED TO US BY GOD because it is a spiritual process that we go through to understand the scriptures. “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which ARE REVEALED BELONG TO US and to our children forever, that we MAY DO ALL the words of this law.” (Deut. 29:29) “Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to AS MANY AS YOU HAVE GIVEN HIM. And this is eternal life, that they MAY KNOW YOU, THE ONLY TRUE GOD, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.” (John 17:1-3)
