We must not despair or be afraid because we’re experiencing temptation! Instead, challenge temptations. Resisting temptation will strengthen our soul, encourage us to have a greater intimacy with God, and teach us to stand. The devil is attacking our hearts and minds because he wants to separate us from God. Remember, nothing, “…shall be able to separate us from the love of God…” (Romans 8:39) Do not give in, Fight back! That’s why James says, “…count it ALL JOY when you fall into different kinds of temptations, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be PERFECT AND COMPLETE, LACKING NOTHING.” (James 1:2-4)
This incident shows us how temptations come about, Satan wanted to tempt Job but he could not so, “So Satan said, “Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made A HEDGE around him, around his household, and AROUND ALL THAT HE HAS ON EVERY SIDE?” (Job 1:9-10) God lifted the hedge and allowed Satan to tempt Job with this condition, “…do not lay a hand on his person.” (Job 1:12) For each of us, “Whoever dwells in THE SHELTER OF THE MOST HIGH will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. ” (Psalms 91:1)
“…Jesus the Son of God, WAS IN ALL POINTS TEMPTED AS WE ARE, YET WITHOUT SIN…(Hebrews 4:14-15)
