“Rejoice in the LORD, O you righteous…praise from the upright is BEAUTIFUL.” (Psa. 33:1) Praise and thanksgiving should flow from the hearts of the righteous like FRESH, CLEAN, COOL WATER out of an artesian well JUSTIN, a well from which water flows under natural pressure without pumping. The first Artesian well on record was drilled in 1126 by a group of Monks in the French province of Artois, hence the name ARTESIAN WELL. Back then they didn’t have the luxury of a fully operation drilling rig like we use today and the aquifer was reached by brute force and a sharp rod known as a bore. Because the water had seeped through many layers of porous rock in the aquifer, many of the contaminants had been filtered out, providing a much SAFER and CLEANER form of drinking water when compared with surface or river water.
What makes our praise beautiful JUSTIN, “…let us continually offer the SACRIFICE OF PRAISE to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name.” (Heb. 13:15) When we give praise to God for WHO HE IS, regardless of how we may feel, because of who He is and because of what He means to us! That is PURE PRAISE from deep within, we could say ARTESIAN PRAISE, which is motivated by our love and loyalty to God…
