“…Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that YOU SHOULD FOLLOW IN HIS STEPS. “He committed no sin, and no deceit was found in His mouth.” When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate; when He suffered, He made no threats. “He Himself bore our sins” in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by His wounds you have been healed.” (1 Peter 2:21-24)

- DIE TO SINS: “We are those who have DIED TO SIN; how can we live in it any longer…we know that our old self was crucified with Him so that our body ruled by sin might be done away with, that we should NO LONGER BE SLAVES TO SIN…count yourselves DEAD TO SIN but alive to God in Christ Jesus.” (Rom. 6:2, 6, 11)
- LIVE RIGHTEOUSLY: “God made Jesus, who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD.” (2 Corin. 5:21)
After all our attempts to “follow in His steps” this verse says, “by His wounds you HAVE BEEN HEALED.“
