“I prayed to the LORD, and He answered me. He freed me from all my fears. Those who look to Him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces. In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; He saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; He surrounds and defends all who fear Him.” (Psa. 34:4-7) David says,
“I prayed to the LORD…” and:
- HE ANSWERED ME: “Call to Me, and I WILL ANSWER YOU, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jer. 33:3)
- HE FREED ME: “I prayed to the LORD, and He answered me. HE FREED ME from all my fears.” (Psa. 34:4)
- THE LORD LISTENED: “Then those who feared the LORD spoke with each other, and the LORD LISTENED TO WHAT THEY SAID. In His presence, a scroll of remembrance was written to record the names of those who feared Him and always thought about the THE HONOR OF HIS NAME.” (Mal. 3:16)
- HE SAVED ME: “Let my soul be at rest again, for the LORD has been good to me. HE HAS SAVED ME FROM DEATH, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling. And so I walk in the LORD’s presence as I live here on earth!” (Psa. 116:7-9)
- HE SURROUNDS AND DEFENDS: “In my desperation I prayed, and the LORD listened; He saved me from all my troubles. For the angel of the LORD is a guard; HE SURROUNDS AND DEFENDS ALL WHO FEAR HIM.” (Psa. 34:6-7)
TASTE AND SEE THAT THE LORD IS GOOD. OH, THE JOYS OF THOSE WHO TAKE REFUGE IN HIM!” (Psa. 34:8)
