“Many blessings are given to those who trust the Lord…O Lord my God, many and many a time you have done great miracles for us, and WE ARE EVER IN YOUR THOUGHTS. Who else can do such glorious things? NO ONE ELSE CAN BE COMPARED WITH YOU. There isn’t time to tell of all your wonderful deeds.” (Psalms 40:4-5) The Lord thinks about us ALL THE TIME, “we are ever (always) in His thoughts!”
“God, your thoughts about me ARE PRICELESS (yâqar: being highly valued). No one can possibly add them all up. If I could count them, they would be more than the grains of sand. If I were to fall asleep counting and then wake up, you would STILL BE THERE (because God has said, “I will never leave you. I will never desert you.” (Hebrews 13:5)). (Psalms 139:17-18) God’s promises are eternal, and He will provide love, comfort, and courage so we can live an abundant life in Him and through Him. We live in a fallen world where we are bound to get hurt. But God will NEVER leave us nor forsake us.
“O Lord, you have examined my heart and know EVERYTHING ABOUT ME. You know when I sit or stand. When far away YOU KNOW MY EVERY THOUGHT. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. EVERY MOMENT you know where I am. You know what I am going to say before I even say it. You both precede and follow me and PLACE YOUR HAND OF BLESSING ON MY HEAD.” (Psalms 139:1-5)
This is what the Lord put in David’s mind to say, “You made ALL the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you for making me SO WONDERFULLY COMPLEX! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. YOU WERE THERE WHILE I WAS BEING FORMED in utter seclusion! You saw me BEFORE I WAS BORN and scheduled EACH DAY OF MY LIFE before I began to breathe. EVERY DAY was recorded in your book!” (Psalms 139:13-16) We should seek the Lord to reveal His plan (calling) to us or as a lot of people, “just do their own thing” IT WILL NOT CHANGE GOD’S LOVE FOR US.
