“…now, thus says the LORD, who created you…“FEAR NOT, FOR I HAVE 1REDEEMED YOU; I HAVE CALLED YOU BY YOUR NAME; YOU ARE MINE. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.” (Isa. 43:1-2) 1ga’al: To buy back and bring back.
This redemption was illustrated in Naomi’s daughter-in-law Ruth. When Naomi’s husband died, then her two sons died as well. Ruth made the decision to go home and live with Naomi. She was led by the Lord into a relationship with Boaz the grandfather of David. “Boaz said to the elders and all the people, “You are witnesses this day that I have bought from the hand of Naomi…RUTH THE MOABITESS…I HAVE ACQUIRED AS MY WIFE, to perpetuate the name of the dead…you are witnesses this day.” And all the people who were at the gate said, “We are witnesses.“ (Ruth 4:9-11)
In the desire of Jesus to redeem the children He said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for OF SUCH IS THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN.” (Matt. 19:14)
BEHOLD, CHILDREN ARE A HERITAGE FROM THE LORD, THE FRUIT OF THE WOMB IS A REWARD…(Psalms 127:3)
