I pray this prayer each day as Jesus taught me to do and over the years I’ve added a few comments to help me to pray with better understanding, so I hope this helps you…
- Our Father in heaven, Hallowed (hagiazล: to purify, a state of consecration (sanctification) to God, who is worthy of COMPLETE DEVOTION because God is perfect in goodness, righteousness and sacredness (for God is set apart for worship) be Your name.
- YOUR kingdom come.
- YOUR will be done,
- In earth (in me, as your earthen vessel) as it is in heaven.
- Give us this day our daily bread (Jesus is, the bread of life (John 6:35) the Word of God (John 1:1)). (Man shall not live by bread alone but by EVERY WORD that comes out of the mouth of GOD)โฆ because YOUR WORD is Living and Powerful, it is the Breath of God, GODโS WORD IN ME!!!
- forgive us our debts, AS WE FORGIVE our debtors.
- do not lead us into temptation, But DELIVER US FROM EVIL.
- For YOURS IS (not mine) the KINGDOM and the POWER and the GLORY FOREVER!!!
