“In You, O LORD, I put my trust; Let me never be put to shame. DELIVER ME in Your righteousness, and cause me to escape; Incline Your ear to me, and save me. Be my strong refuge, To which I may resort continually; You have given the commandment to save me, For You are my rock and my fortress. For YOU ARE MY HOPE, O Lord GOD; You are my trust from my youth.” (Psalms 71:1-5) David wrote this Psalm in response to his wife and the wives of all the men with him were taken captive. “…when David and his men came to Ziklag, they saw that the Amalekites had taken captive the women and those who were there, from small to great…Now David was greatly distressed, for the people spoke of stoning him, But David strengthened himself in the LORD his God.” (1 Samuel 30:1-6)
