We are, each one of us, awesomely created for a special purpose, “You God, saw me before I was born. EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE WAS RECORDED IN YOUR BOOK. EVERY MOMENT was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psa. 139:16)
Let’s discuss how we can HEAR ABOUT GOD’S PLAN FOR US, Eli told Samuel if God calls you, say, “Speak to me LORD, I’M LISTING!” “Now the LORD came and stood and called as at other times, “Samuel! Samuel!” And Samuel answered, “Speak, for Your servant hears.” (1 Sam. 3:10) So, God revealed to Samuel the plan for His life. This is godly counsel we must listen to! The Bible says, “Blessed is the man Who WALKS NOT in the counsel of the ungodly, NOR STANDS in the path of sinners, NOR SITS in the seat of the scornful; But his DELIGHT (chêphets: something that brings extreme pleasure and great satisfaction) is in the law of the LORD, And in His law (the Word of God) HE MEDITATES day and night…And WHATEVER HE DOES SHALL PROSPER.” (Psa. 1:1-6) Meditating on God’s word will make us prosper, why? Because God’s word is LIVING and it is POWERFUL!!! (Heb. 4:12)
OK, So, how do we do this? “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall TEACH THEM diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you SIT in your house, when you WALK by the way, when you LIE down, and when you RISE up…You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” (Deut. 6:6-9) For us to fulfill God’s plan for our lives we must be overcomers against the devil, who will plant destructive thoughts in our minds and we can only defeat them with more powerful thoughts, that is THE WORD OF GOD! When Jesus faced the devil, He used the WORD OF GOD to defeat the devil! (Matt. 4:10)
“Your WORD I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You.” (Psa. 119:11) “…take the sword of the Spirit, which is the WORD OF GOD;” (Eph. 6:17)
