“Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I will make a NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel—But this is the covenant that I will make after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law IN THEIR MINDS, and write it ON THEIR HEARTS; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.” (Jer. 31:31, 33)
“Even us, whom He also called, not only from the Jews but also THE GENTILES? As He says in Hosea: “I will call them ‘my people’ WHO ARE NOT my people; and I will call her ‘my loved one’ WHO IS NOT my loved one,” and, “In the very place where it was said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ there they will be called ‘CHILDREN OF THE LIVING GOD.'” (Rom. 9:24-26) Even thought we are not His people WILL and we are not His loved ones yet according to this promise we gentiles will be called the CHILDREN OF the living God!!!
This means that it is not the children of the flesh who are the children of God, but the CHILDREN OF THE PROMISE are counted as offspring.” In other words, God is not bound by physical descent or flesh. He “counts” as “children of promise” whom He pleases. God acts this way, “in order that God’s purpose of election might continue, not because of works but because of HIM WHO CALLS.” “So in Christ Jesus you are ALL children of God through faith, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither JEW NOR GENTILE, NEITHER SLAVE NOR FREE, NOR IS THERE MALE AND FEMALE, for YOU ARE ALL ONE IN CHRIST JESUS. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and HEIRS according to the promise.” (Gal. 3:26-29)
