If you are not praying for a godly woman, do not expect God to bring you one. Seek the Lord in earnestly in prayer and ask Him to BRING YOU a godly woman. It is OK to do that. Remember, you are asking the Lord for “a good thing.” (“He who finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor from the LORD.” (Prov. 18:22)) Not a bad thing. And as Jesus reminds us, “How much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him” (Matt. 7:11)! Also, pray for wisdom and discernment. God is more than willing to give that to you as well if you will ask him for it. “If any of you need wisdom, ASK GOD for it. He will give it to you. God gives freely to everyone. He doesn’t find fault.” (James 1:5)
Also, start praying for your possible future wife. Pray for her protection and her own growth in godliness.
