“…the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five…were foolish…five were wise. The foolish took no oil with them. The wise ones, took oil in jars. The bridegroom delayed his coming, they all fell asleep. “At midnight the cry rang out: ‘Here’s the bridegroom! COME OUT TO MEET HIM!’ “…all the virgins woke up and trimmed their lamps. The foolish ones said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil; our lamps are going out.’ “‘No,’ they replied, ‘THERE MAY NOT BE ENOUGH FOR BOTH…go to those who sell oil and buy some for yourselves.” (Matt. 25:1-9)
We cannot do JUST ENOUGH to get by, the devil will tempt us to think that we do not have to “sell out” to God…When Jesus was asked: “…which is the GREATEST COMMANDMENT in the Law?” Jesus replied: “LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with ALL your heart and with ALL your soul and with ALL your mind.” (Matt. 22:36-37) Jesus demonstrated with His life and taught us that GOD IS WORTHY OF OUR ALL.
LET US WILLINGLY KEEP THIS GREATEST COMMANDMENT…
