“…this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will PUT MY LAW IN THEIR MINDS, AND WRITE IT ON THEIR HEARTS; and I will be their God, and THEY SHALL BE MY PEOPLE. No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will FORGIVE THEIR INIQUITY, and THEIR SIN I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” (Jeremiah 31:33-34)

There was forgiveness of sin under the Law, but the blood of Christ was not then actually shed for it; it was forgiven under types; and there was a remembrance of sin made every year; and saints had not such a clear and comfortable sight of pardon in common as now; and it was known and applied but to a few. This is the staple blessing of the covenant, and the evidence of our sins BEING GONE. For I will forgive their wickedness and will REMEMBER THEIR SINS NO MORE.” (Hebrews 8:12) “I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions, for my own sake, and REMEMBERS YOUR SINS NO MORE.” (Isaiah 43:25) “This is the covenant I will make with them after that time, says the Lord. I will put my laws in their hearts, and I will write them on their minds.” Then he adds: THEIR SINS AND LAWLESS ACTS I WILL REMEMBER NO MORE.” (Hebrews 10:16-17) “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love for those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has HE REMOVED OUR TRANSGRESSIONS (sins) FROM US.” (Psalms 103:11-12)
