When we are born again, we become citizens of heaven, we are “in” the world but no longer “of” the world so, it is of the greatest importance for us to live our lives in a manner that pleases the Lord…
For this reason, we also constantly thank God that when you received the word of God which you heard from us, YOU ACCEPTED IT not as the word of men, but for what it really is, THE WORD OF GOD,
Remember the bible says: “God has BREATHED LIFE into ALL of Scripture. It is useful for teaching us what is true. It is useful for correcting our mistakes. It is useful for making our lives whole again. It is useful for training us to do what is right.” (2 Tim. 3:16)

For you, brethren, became imitators (mimētēs: an example as a follower) of the churches of God in Christ…for you also endured the same sufferings at the hands of your own countrymen…FOR YOU ARE OUR GLORY AND JOY.” (1 Thess. 2:12-14, 20)
