Replacement theology (also known as supersessionism and fulfillment theology) essentially teaches that the church has replaced Israel in God’s plan. Supporters of replacement theology believe the Jews are NO LONGER GOD’S CHOSEN PEOPLE, and God does not have specific future plans for the nation of Israel. OK, HOW DOES GOD RESPOND TO THIS? “At the same time,” says the LORD, “I WILL BE THE GOD OF ALL THE FAMILIES OF ISRAEL, and they shall be MY PEOPLE…The LORD has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I HAVE LOVED YOU WITH AN EVERLASTING LOVE; Therefore, with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again, I WILL BUILD YOU, and YOU SHALL BE REBUILT…O virgin of Israel!” (Jeremiah 31:1-4)
“‘Though the mountains be shaken, and the hills be removed, yet MY UNFAILING LOVE FOR YOU WILL NOT BE SHAKEN NOR MY COVENANT OF PEACE BE REMOVED,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you” (Isaiah 54:10). “For the Lord WILL NOT REJECT HIS PEOPLE; He will NEVER FORSAKE His inheritance” (Psalm 94:14). “I ask then: Did God reject His people? BY NO MEANS! I am an Israelite myself, a descendant of Abraham, from the tribe of Benjamin. God DID NOT REJECT HIS PEOPLE, whom He foreknew…” (Romans 11:1–2a). “God is not human, that He should lie, not a human being, that He should CHANGE HIS MIND. Does He speak and then not act? DOES HE PROMISE AND NOT FULFILL?” (Numbers 23:19).
AS LONG AS THE SUN SHINES, ISRAEL WILL ALWAYS BE A NATION BEFORE HIM.
“This is what the Lord says, He who appoints the sun to shine by day, who decrees the moon and stars to shine by night, who stirs up the sea so that its waves roar—the Lord Almighty is His name: ‘Only if these decrees VANISH FROM MY SIGHT,’ declares the Lord, ‘WILL ISRAEL EVER CEASE BEING A NATION BEFORE ME’” (Jeremiah 31:35–36).
