“Very truly I tell you, whoever HEARS my word and BELIEVES Him who sent me has eternal life and will not be judged but has CROSSED OVER FROM DEATH TO LIFE.” (John 5:24) When did death begin?
“God said (to Adam & Eve) you must not eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for when you eat from it YOU WILL CERTAINLY DIE (mûth: to die prematurely).” (Genesis 2:17) The creation of Adam went like this, “…the LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground and BREATHED into his nostrils THE BREATH OF LIFE, and the man became a living soul.” (Genesis 2:7) Mans life came from ETERNAL BREATH so; man was created to live eternally! But when man decided to SIN AGAINST GOD the Lord had to get him out of the garden so he would not partake of the tree of life and be eternally sinful! Satan introduced death to the world (Hebrews 2:14 tells us that Satan has the power of death). He lied to Eve by telling her, “You WILL NOT certainly die,“ (Genesis 3:4) Satan tempts us then he lies to us, we must know the scripture.
Adam and Eve chose Satan’s “death nature” and CROSSED OVER FROM LIFE TO DEATH then, all of mankind inherited that “death nature.” That is why the bible says, “ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” (Romans 3:23) We need to ask forgiveness and invite Christ into our lives, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW CREATION; OLD THINGS have passed away; behold, ALL THINGS HAVE BECOME NEW. Now all things are of God, who has RECONCILED (katallassō: return to favor with God) US TO HIMSELF through Jesus Christ…” (2 Corinthians 5:17-19)
How does it all become new? “…do not be CONFORMED (suschēmatizō: to be the same as everyone else) to this world but be TRANSFORMED (metamorphoō: to be divinely changed into a Christian form) by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” (Romans 12:2) God Himself changes us from a “DEATH NATURE.” to a “LIFE NATURE” by making us into A NEW CREATION.
