“Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is NOTHING ON EARTH THAT I DESIRE BESIDES YOU.” (Psalms 73:25) When we are obedient to the Lord’s command, that we love Him with ALL our heart, soul, mind, and strength we develop an intimacy with God that allows us to really experience His overwhelming, everlasting goodly love that is showered on us by God who EXPECTS NOTHING FROM US in return.
“My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains THE STRENGTH (tsur: figuratively, protection, refuge, sanctuary) OF MY HEART; He is mine FOREVER.” (Psalms 73:26)
Remember, this awesome God we serve is:
- Omnipotence, He is all-powerful, God said, “Let there be Light.” Every heavenly body that exists today, instantly came into being. “For by Him (Jesus) all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created by Him and for Him.” (Col 1:16)
- Omnipresence, He is everywhere, “Where can I go from Your Spirit? Or where can I flee from Your presence? If I ascend to heaven, YOU ARE THERE; If I make my bed in Hell, behold, YOU ARE THERE. If I take the wings of the dawn, If I dwell in the remotest part of the sea…YOU ARE THERE” (Psalm 139:7-10)
- Omniscience, He is all-knowing, “Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; His understanding IS BEYOND MEASURE.” (Psalm 147:5)
- Omnibenevolence, He is all-loving, “God demonstrates HIS OWN LOVE for us in this: While we were STILL SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.” (Romans 5:8)
