The shepherds were in the field, “And behold, an angel of the Lord STOOD BEFORE THEM (not kings, not dignitaries, not religious leaders, and not wealthy folks), and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you GOOD TIDINGS OF GREAT JOY which will be to all people. For there is born to you THIS DAY in the city of David A SAVIOR, who is CHRIST THE LORD. And this will be the SIGN (sēmeion: a miraculous indicator) to you: You will find a Babe WRAPPED IN SWADDLING FABRICS, LYING IN A MANGER.“ (Luke 2:9-12)
Jesus came into this world as a “helpless little baby with divine supernatural potential,” look what happens to this “helpless little baby” “I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne stood a Lamb (this “helpless little baby” who grew up) …Then He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him who sat on the throne. Now when He had taken the scroll (everyone) fell down before the Lamb…saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll, And to open its seals; For You were slain And have REDEEMED US to God by Your blood…And we shall reign on the earth.” (Revelation 5:6-12) “Then I looked, and I heard the voice of many angels around the throne, the living creatures, and the elders; and the number of them was TEN THOUSAND TIMES TEN THOUSAND, AND THOUSANDS OF THOUSANDS, saying with a loud voice: “WORTHY IS THE LAMB (this “helpless little baby” who grew up) who was slain To receive power and riches and wisdom, And strength and honor and glory and blessing!” (Revelation 5:11-12)
“Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He (this “helpless little baby” who grew up) who sat on him was called FAITHFUL AND TRUE, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. And THE ARMIES IN HEAVEN, clothed in fine linen, white and clean (that’s us in our salvation robes), followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes A SHARP SWORD, that with it He should STRIKE THE NATIONS. And He Himself will RULE THEM with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.” (Revelation 19:11-15)
