When Debbie and I were dating and getting serious about our relationship, we were being cautioned by some to be very careful and make sure that this relationship was OK with God, at that time Debbie was 20 and I was 31!!! So, we agreed to take a break and SEEK GOD to be sure. One evening as I was seeking the Lord, He told me to read (Ecclesiastes 4:9-11). “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone?”
I quickly called Debbie, she was just getting home from church and was excitedly telling me that Sis. Smith interpreted a message from the Holy Spirit – “I am pleased with what you are planning, I will bless you!”
I jumped up and told her what the Lord told me, and we both rejoiced! Then we were married by Debbie’s amazing dad. That was almost 50 years ago!!!
