Some people brought to Jesus a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to heal him. “Jesus looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Be opened!”. At this, the man’s ears WERE OPENED, his tongue was loosened, and he began to SPEAK PLAINLY.” (Mark 7:34-35) The people that witnessed this healing, “…were ASTONISHED (ekplēssō: overwhelmed with amazement) beyond measure, saying, “He has done all things well. He makes both the deaf to hear and the mute to speak.” (Mark 7:37)
“Which is easier: to say, ‘Your sins ARE FORGIVEN,’ or to say, ‘GET UP AND WALK‘? But I want you to know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins.” So, He said to the paralyzed man, “I tell you, GET UP, take your mat and go home.” IMMEDIATELY HE STOOD UP in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. EVERYONE WAS AMAZED and gave praise to God. They were FILLED WITH AWE and said, “We have seen remarkable things today.” (Luke 5:23-26)
Jesus had just finished teaching on being obedient to God’s word, “When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were AMAZED at His teaching, because He taught as one WHO HAD AUTHORITY, and not as their teachers of the law.” (Matthew 7:28-29)
Jesus and the disciples were taking a boat across the lake, “A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?” He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “PEACE! BE STILL!” Then the wind died down and it was COMPLETELY CALM. He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” THEY WERE TERRIFIED and asked each other, “WHO IS THIS? Even THE WIND AND THE WAVES OBEY HIM!” (Mark 4:37-41)
WHEN JESUS SPOKE SOMETHING AMAZING ALWAYS HAPPENED, IT SEEMED THAT THE DISCIPLES JUST COULD NOT GET USED TO THAT WHILE HE WAS WITH HIM BUT WHEN THEY WENT OUT ON THEIR OWN, THEY GOT IT AND BEGAN WORKING MANY MIRACLES IN JESUS NAME… JUST LIKE WE WILL DO!!!
