THE ISRAELITES DID NOT BELIEVE IN GOD…

When God’s people were in the wilderness many miraculous things were done, right before their very eyes, how did they respond?

“In spite of all this they still sinned and DID NOT BELIEVE IN HIS WONDERFUL WORKS. (Psa. 78:32)

It wasn’t too long ago that God poured out the plagues on Egypt, which ended with the Egyptians turning over their prized positions to the Israelites, and begged them to leave, then God parted the Red Sea, God’s people went through on dry land and the pursuing enemy were all drowned in the sea. Then God provided water and mana for over 3 million people. So, what was their problem???

“…they did not believe in God and DID NOT TRUST IN HIS SALVATION.” (Psa. 78:22)

OK, that was them, what about us, today? Do we believe is God’s miraculous power? Are we doing the things Jesus said we would do?

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and GREATER WORKS THAN THESE HE WILL DO; because I go to the Father.” (John 14:12) If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ASK WHATEVER YOU WISH, AND IT WILL BE DONE FOR YOU.” (John 15:7) You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that WHATEVER YOU ASK IN MY NAME THE FATHER WILL GIVE YOU.” (John 15:16) Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE, AND YOUR JOY WILL BE COMPLETE. (John 16:24) “…YOU WILL RECEIVE POWER when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8) This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that IF WE ASK ANYTHING ACCORDING TO HIS WILL, HE HEARS US. And if we know that He hears us–whatever we ask–we know that WE HAVE WHAT WE ASKED OF HIM. (1 John 5:14-15)

ASK, BELIEVE, RECEIVE, IN JESUS NAME, BE A BELIEVER
