“Who has ascended into heaven, or descended? Who has gathered the wind in His fists? Who has bound the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is His name, and WHAT IS HIS SON’S NAME, if you know? EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE; He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him. Do not add to His words, Lest He rebuke you, and you be found a liar.” (Proverbs 30:4-6)
- WHO HAS ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN: Well, let’s see, “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for GOD TOOK HIM (alive).” (Genesis 5:23-24) and there was Elijah who said to Elishia, can I have a double portion of your (Elijha’s) spirit, “…if you see me when I am taken, it shall be so for you.” Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire and separated the two of them; and ELIJAH WENT UP (alive) BY A WHIRLWIND INTO HEAVEN.” (2 Kings 2:10-11) Paul said of himself, “I know a man in Christ who fourteen years ago—whether in the body I do not know, or whether out of the body I do not know, God knows—such a one WAS CAUGHT UP TO THE THIRD HEAVEN. And I know such a man—whether in the body or out of the body I do not know, God knows— how he was caught up into Paradise and heard inexpressible words, which IT IS NOT LAWFUL FOR A MAN TO UTTER.” (2 Corinthians 12:2-4) One more besides Jesus that I know of is the Apostle John who said, “I looked, and behold, a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying, “COME UP HERE, and I will show you things which must take place after this.” Immediately I was IN THE SPIRIT; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and One sat on the throne.” (Revelation 4:1-2)
- EVERY WORD OF GOD IS PURE: Pure, (tsâraph: to refine, test). Purity can be defined as the absence types of matter other than the substance itself. We know that God’s Word is truth! How do we know that? Because Jesus is the “Way the TRUTH and the Life.” (John 14:6) “In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with God, and the WORD WAS GOD… And the WORD BECAME FLESH and DWELT among us, and we BEHELD His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of GRACE and TRUTH.” (John 1:1,14)
