“For thus says the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: The LORD will wait, that HE MAY BE GRACIOUS (chanan: being pleasantly kind) TO YOU; And therefore, He will be exalted, that He may have mercy on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; Blessed are all those who wait (a strong feeling of need or desire) for Him.” (Isaiah 30:15-18)
God isn’t a cloud, a mystery, or an invisible being who dwells in the sky. He is our abba Father, and we are one of His precious children. We were made in His image, God said, “Let us MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, IN OUR LIKENESS, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So, God created man in HIS OWN IMAGE, in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:26-27)
Just for a minute think about YOU how does God SEE YOU? Say this, “You (GOD) made ALL THE DELICATE, INNER PARTS OF MY BODY and knit them together in my mother’s womb. Thank you FOR MAKING ME so wonderfully complex! It is amazing to think about. Your workmanship is marvelous—and how well I know it. YOU WERE THERE WHILE I WAS BEING FORMED in utter seclusion! YOU SAW ME BEFORE I WAS BORN and scheduled EACH DAY of my life before I began to breathe. EVERY DAY was RECORDED in your book!” (Psalms 139:13-16) God has planned our lives but He DOES NOT FORCE US do His plan. So, how do we know what His plan is? “CALL TO ME and I WILL ANSWER YOU. I’ll tell you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own.” (Jeremiah 33:3)
This is what the Lord said to Jeremiah, “I KNEW YOU before I formed you in your mother’s womb. BEFORE YOU WERE BORN I SET YOU APART AND APPOINTED YOU AS MY PROPHET to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
Consider this, “God saved us and called us to live a holy life. He did this, not because we deserved it, but because that was HIS PLAN FROM BEFORE THE BEGINNING OF TIME—to show us His grace through Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 1:9)
We just need to say, “LORD I’M WILLING TO DO WHATEVER IT IS YOU HAVE FOR ME TO DO!”
