“The heavens DECLARE THE GLORY OF GOD. The skies display His craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make Him known. They speak without a sound or word; their voice is never heard. Yet their message has gone throughout the earth, and their words to all the world. God has made a home in the heavens for the sun.” (Psalms 19:1-4)
The English dictionary defines glory as magnificent, beautiful, and of high renown—all things THAT GOD IS. However, God is not simply beautiful, He is supremely beautiful, magnificent above all else, and the highest renown. Displayed across every page of the Bible we see God’s glory COME TO LIFE. The Bible reveals God’s glory as BRILLIANT LIGHT, so bright that in the new heavens and earth we won’t even need the sun. “…one of the seven angels…said to me, “Come with me! I will show you the bride, the wife of the Lamb…So he took me in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and he showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God. And the city has NO NEED of SUN or MOON, FOR THE GLORY OF GOD ILLUMINATES THE CITY, and THE LAMB (Jesus Christ the Lamb of God) IS ITS LIGHT. The nations will walk in its light, and the kings of the world will enter the city in all their glory.” (Revelation 21:10, 23-24)
John saw this vision in heaven, “There in front of me was a throne in heaven with someone sitting on it…In the inner circle, around the throne, were four living creatures…Each of the four living creatures had six wings…Day and night, they never stop saying, “HOLY, HOLY, HOLY IS THE LORD GOD WHO RULES OVER ALL. HE WAS, AND HE IS, AND HE WILL COME.” The living creatures give glory, honor and thanks to the One who sits on the throne and who lives for ever and ever…YOU ARE WORTHY, our Lord and God! You are worthy TO RECEIVE GLORY AND HONOR AND POWER. You are worthy because YOU CREATED ALL THINGS. They were created and they exist. That is the way you planned it.” (Revelation 4:2,8-9,11)
THIS IS THE SAME GOD WE SERVE AND CALL, ABBA FATHER AND HE REFERS TO US AS HIS SONS AND DAUGHTERS…
