ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER…

David had just brought the Arc of the Covenant (which represented the presence of the Lord) and placed it in the special Tabernacle! Now they were celebrating the Divine presence of the Lord God Almighty! “Sing to Him, sing praise to Him; tell of all His wonderful acts. Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice. Look to the LORD and His strength; SEEK HIS FACE ALWAYS.” (1 Chron. 16:9-11) The longing and strong desire of our hearts, which should speak to God is: “my face is to you Lord; that is, I am diligently seeking You, and nothing else, and FROM NOW ON I will seek You permanently until my last breath, and until I find what I am seeking for”!

“My heart says of you, “Seek His face!” YOUR FACE, LORD, I WILL SEEK.” (Psa. 27:8) This is a part of the thanksgiving psalm which David, by the Spirit, composed, and delivered to the chief musician, to be sung upon the incident of the public entry of the ark into the tent prepared for it. Some think he appointed this hymn to be daily used in the temple service! “Sing to the LORD, all the earth; proclaim His salvation day after day. Declare His glory among the nations, His marvelous deeds among all peoples. For GREAT IS THE LORD and most worthy of praise; HE IS TO BE FEARED ABOVE ALL GODS.” (1 Chron. 16:23-25) This Psalm was composed before by David but was now first delivered for the use in the Tabernacle! “Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name; bring an offering and come before him. WORSHIP THE LORD IN THE SPLENDOR [magnificence] OF HIS HOLINESS. Tremble before him, all the earth! The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved. Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let them say among the nations, “THE LORD REIGNS!” (1 Chron. 16:29-31)

Now we have a new place of worship, the same awesome God, but a new tabernacle because Our Abba Father: “…raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come. And God placed all things under His feet and APPOINTED HIM TO BE HEAD OVER EVERYTHING FOR THE CHURCH, WHICH IS HIS BODY, the FULLNESS of Him who fills everything in every way.” (Eph. 1:20-23) So where do we go now? …let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, NOT GIVING UP MEETING TOGETHER, as some are in the habit of doing, but ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER–and all the more as you see THE DAY approaching.” (Heb. 10:24-25)
